Our clients were motivated to design and build quickly, and to move into their new home so their children could start the second half of the school year in their new school. Unfortunately, while the home had great bones, many of the custom features were outdated and not functional. The primary bedroom was open to the primary bathroom, the public living space lacked a powder room for guests, and the kitchen was small, outdated and closed off from the main living space. We renovated the entryway, refreshed and modernized the spiral staircase and updated the entryway chandelier. We tore down the walls encasing the kitchen, designed and built a beautiful, functional, bright and spacious open plan kitchen that opened to the dining and living rooms.
With a lovely grey and white palette, the kitchen features white painted cabinets, a large island with oven and quartz counter tops that seats three, plenty of storage space, and high end stainless steel appliances. The Miele cooktop is flush-mounted for a modern feel. The living and dining rooms, three bathrooms and all the flooring were completely renovated, and the old fashioned fireplace removed. We removed weird soffits and angled walls, closed walls and created new windows in the living room that opened to wine country views, and created a pleasing, family friendly space that we all agree is stunning!
