Our Lafayette, CA clients were generally happy with the layout of their kitchen, with the exception of the peninsula, which they felt was too cumbersome to walk around. They preferred an island with seating and came up with a very cool butcher block top island. They did not like the existing pale cabinets, and after seeing how colored cabinetry could be integrated into the kitchen, they choose a beautiful teal island. They wanted a cool, contemporary feel, which they achieved with a flush-mounted induction cooktop, gorgeous quartzite countertops, and a sleek Zephyr hood. The initial desire was for hardwood flooring, but after seeing the large flooring tile, they fell in love with it, and the rest of their kitchen remodel is history.
