Our delightful clients had recently moved into Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, CA and wanted a bright, beautiful, white and blue kitchen with more storage. We designed and built a lovely, modern, cozy kitchen with white Nickels cabinetry, Cambria quartz countertops with blue veining, and a bold blue accent wall. The flooring is a medium brown luxury vinyl plank (LVP), which warms up the cool blue and white cabinets and walls.
We created more storage by eliminating the breakfast nook and relocating bar seating for two to the peninsula, which features lovely glass pendant lighting above. Six full feet of drawer space was now possible, (pot and pan storage, baking) and an appliance garage for their coffee station.
We installed stainless steel appliances throughout, including a Bosch electric range and a counter-depth French door refrigerator. They went with a 30″ slimline pull-out Zephyr hood with halogen lighting, a perfect solution to make their smaller space look more open.
A cool patina forged white matte textured tile backsplash with various rectangle shapes and the client-supplied unique black and crystal cabinetry hardware add to the room’s charm.
The blue veining of the quartz countertop complements the blue accent walls, and the whole room is fun, functional, and lovely!
