As part of a major home reconfiguration, a former kitchen space was relocated downstairs to make room for two new en suite bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, and a laundry room. Designed for two teenage sisters, these matching-but-not-identical bathrooms sit across the hall from one another, offering privacy while maintaining a cohesive design story.
To create a shared aesthetic with individual personality, we selected a classic blue and white color palette paired with warm satin brass finishes. Each bathroom features a pre-made 36-inch white vanity with undermount sinks, paired with brass faucets and plumbing fixtures for a timeless yet fresh look.
In the first bathroom, large-format white matte porcelain tile covers the floors and walls, complemented by blue penny mosaic tile in the shower floor and niche. A blue-green ceramic subway tile accent wall in a herringbone pattern adds texture, movement, and visual interest.
The second bathroom mirrors the overall material palette while introducing its own variation, including a different penny mosaic tile in the niche and shower floor, and a rich navy ceramic subway tile accent wall, also installed in a herringbone pattern.
Satin brass shower fixtures, accessories, and Toto toilets complete both spaces, while Simply White walls and ceilings keep the focus on the tilework and finishes. The result is a pair of functional, stylish bathrooms that feel coordinated, timeless, and uniquely personal. The investment range is $70,000 – $80,000 per bathroom.
