Our clients bought a large, elegant Lafayette, CA home that was finished in a Mediterranean style. They loved the bones of the home, and wanted to create a warm and traditional open plan kitchen/family room, and also create a cool wetbar. We took out a pony wall in the kitchen which separated it from the family room, and created a large island with a sink. Many changes later, including structural changes for the bar, we have a fantastic eat-in kitchen that opens into the family room, and a gorgeous wetbar.
