Our clients are passionate about cooking and entertaining, and they envisioned a seamless, open-concept space that would bring together the kitchen, dining, living, and family areas to match their lifestyle. The original kitchen featured awkward, angled walls, which we resolved by designing a small bump-out addition to square off the layout. We also removed a massive fireplace and hearth that occupied space in both the kitchen and living room, creating a fluid connection between the dining room, living room, and butler’s pantry.
The result is a bright, spacious kitchen anchored by a large, seating-friendly island. Elegant Vadara countertops and a matching backsplash add a touch of luxury, while the two-tone cabinetry—soft white for the perimeter and a sophisticated grey for the island—enhances the visual depth of the space. In the butler’s pantry, lighted glass-front upper cabinets beautifully showcase the clients’ stemware and glassware collection.
High-end appliances elevate the space’s functionality, including a paneled Sub-Zero French door refrigerator, Wolf 6-burner gas range, Cove dishwasher, Miele built-in coffee system with direct water line, and dual Sub-Zero wine refrigerators.
We refinished the oak flooring throughout the kitchen, butler’s pantry, dining room, living room, entryway, and staircase, applying a warm brown stain that adds richness and contrast to the crisp white and grey palette. Custom lighting features include large silver pendants over the island, soft uplighting on the cabinetry, and a stunning champagne gold and glass chandelier above the dining table. We added bespoke wainscoting to finish the dining room for a tailored, elegant touch.
This lovely family now enjoys cooking together and making lasting memories with family and friends in their spectacular, newly remodeled home.
